WP 1 Management and Coordination

Objectives

The overall objective is to establish an efficient and professional project management and coordination unit in order to continuously orientate all the activities carried out in the framework of the project towards the project objectives and to ensure their fulfilment. Specific objectives are:

  • To ensure the effective management and steering of the project.
  • To facilitate the interface with the EU Commission officers.
  • To secure that the deliverables are submitted on time and under the agreed quality standards.
  • To ensure the communication flow among the partners.
  • To monitor on-going activities.
  • To promote communication and organisation among the partners involved
  • To complete the project within the required time frame
  • To solve any problems that may come up during the project’s completion

Description of work

The Project Coordinator will establish an effective and efficient project management system specifically dedicated to this project. This management system will mainly be constituted of 2 tasks:

Task 1.1. Management, Coordination & Monitoring Activities

The management, the coordination and the monitoring of the project will all under the Project Management System established at the beginning of the project. The system will support the various and complex tasks within the overall project management in a secure and efficient way.

This will be taken care of by the Project Coordinator and his team. The Coordinator will be responsible for:

  1. The financial and administrative coordination.
  2. Coordination of partner contributions.
  3. Organisation, animation and documentation of the project meetings.
  4. Reporting to the project partners and European Commission
  5. Project monitoring.

Task 1.2. Attendance & Input to Partnership co-ordination meetings:

All partners will have to participate and to contribute to the fulfilment of half-year partnership coordination and technical meetings, which will be divided up into two parts: administrative and scientific issues.
