Fundación INNOVA
The Polytechnic City of Innovation, the scientific park of the Polytechnic University of Valencia (UPV) is a new cooperation model conceived by the UPV with the purpose of putting all its scientific potential at the service of research and business development.
The main purpose is to encourage and coordinate the performance of companies and the University in terms of science and technology with the purpose of improving the competitiveness of firms in the Valencia Community by means of the transfer of research outputs, technological development and innovation.
The following four ideas define the Polytechnic city of innovation:
- Research
- Transfer of results
- Technological Innovation
- Cooperation
The INNOVA Foundation constituted by the Polytechnic University and the Valencia Business Confederation is the institution responsible for the administration of the Polytechnic City of Innovation.
It coordinates the provision of services to Institutes and technological centres, companies and entrepreneurs, all of them users of the CPI from the different functional units of the UPV.
Also, the INNOVA Foundation has taken part in the Foresight Expert’s groups constituted under the direction of the unit K2 “Science and Technology Foresight” of the DG Research, specifically, as a member of the TECHTRANS blueprint expert group.
